Acton Architecture, Inc. is a full-service architectural practice specializing in commercial architecture, with extensive experience in commercial, civic, public safety, and community-focused projects. With a strong understanding of public-sector processes, responsible budget management, and long-range facility planning, we collaborate closely with prject stakeholders to create environments that support public service, embody civic pride, and enhance the daily lives of the communities they serve.
Founder Bio
Originally from a small farm in Michigan, Matt earned his degree with honors from the University of Michigan before relocating to Southern California. He brings more than 15 years of architectural experience, including 14 years at Holt Architecture, where he advanced from entry-level designer to Principal in just seven years.
During his tenure, Matt contributed to a wide range of project types and scales, developing a reputation for thoughtful design, technical rigor, and strong client relationships. He has successfully delivered more than $100 million in built work and is consistently recognized for his exceptional dedication, responsiveness, and hands-on involvement throughout every phase of a project—from concept through completion.
Following his departure from Holt Architecture, Matt founded Acton Architecture to further his commitment to a highly collaborative, client-focused design approach.
